It’s once again time for the annual NCET Entrepreneur Expo, Nevada’s only business-to-small business Expo. This free Expo is open to the public, and is slated for Friday, September 17 from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm at the Atlantis Casino Spa Resort. I’m proud that the event continues to gain momentum each year, and the reason behind the Expo’s ongoing popularity may prompt you to attend this year’s event yourself.
There’s no denying that our economy has been pummeled in the last 18 – 24 months. The trickle-down impact has touched every Nevadan in one way or another. Business owners have seen credit dry up and profits tumble, and employees have become fearful for the security of their jobs – many saw hours and benefits
cut, and others lost their positions altogether. Yet another group of survivors has found themselves charged with carrying double workloads to keep their jobs at all. The result? Fear, mixed with a basic human sense of self-preservation. What does that combination lead to? It often leads to innovation and entrepreneurship.

Help determine the viability/growth of a new business ( or new market) with the least amount of dollars risk.
These are “no BS” courses taught by Rod Hosilyk & Matt Westfield – “real world” guys who have been there and done it all – and are still doing it! They explain it in detail. And although they teach these topics in University Executive MBA programs, students will learn from real world experiences – what worked and what didn’t…and why, in easily understood terms, not highly theoretical ideas that are difficult to understand and implement. The focus is on starting and building a business for success focusing on marketing, customer acceptance, product viability, validating the marketplace, etc. rather than on determining legal structures such as partnerships, LLC, corporations, etc. Attendees leave with a wealth of practical information they can begin using immediately.
